Northminster’s Foster Care Donation in Action

Northminster, as part of our Benevolence donations, sent $500 to the FCC on foster care in early December to enable them to use some of it for the annual Christmas party. We received a wonderful letter from Kate Thoresen thanking us, and a follow-up email telling us about the party: 44 children and youth, and at least 20 adults and volunteers attended. Part of the money we sent was used for gifts given to the foster kids and was much appreciated, and the remainder for other special needs for foster kids in the coming year.

As you’ll read in the thank you note posted on the bulletin board, the money sent last year came in extremely handy -- in one case, when a baby car-seat was needed for a foster family, which our contribution paid for.
